Very nice location on the water. Very nice ambience. The dishes are a bit more expensive, but they are okay for the quality of the food, the taste is simply outstanding and home-made, you can tell that especially with the desserts. All in all very recommendable and often to spend a nice evening. Very friendly and accommodating staff. One can definitely recommend it.

We sat very nicely in the squares on the street. The food was rustic, Franconian and good. The beer is superb. The landlord is a Franconian original. Clear recommendation!

The food is a bit more expensive, but the taste is a dream, rarely eaten so tasty. Worth every euro. Staff was very friendly, the ambience is also great. Highly recommended.

Super good food, price justified. Friendly, courteous service. (He was also very present without being intrusive. Top) The salmon trout fillet and the Barbarie duck were excellent, great praise to the kitchen team. Note: The cutlery already shows some signs of use, replace if necessary. Otherwise, cleanliness and hygiene were great. Always worth a visit.

Nice beer and nice weather

Are you looking for a "quiet location" in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Bamberg? Then Eckerts Wirtshaus is a good choice! Located above the left Regnitz arm, in the outdoor areas with a view of the water, it is easy to linger. A nice waitress serves (not only) Franconian drinks. The dishes on offer are a culinary experience and really recommendable!

The food was okay, but nothing more. However, the prices are more for upscale gastronomy. In our opinion, that doesn't fit here in terms of the quality or the taste of the dishes.

The ambience was nice, the food was good except for the cod fillet that was tasteless and carelessly prepared, so the price-performance ratio is not right here! The chanterelle soup is not recommended. Pork cheeks, rump steak and the duck were delicious! The waiter had useless and unfortunately also imitated what is not possible in such a restaurant! What a shame!

I eat omlet and it was very tasty, but this would be it. Too less options to select for standard (non-German) breakfast and the variety in other positions were limited as well (honestly, it should be 3+)

Waited donkeys to get seated and then sat there watching an army of waitresses walk past us until we just decided to leave.

Plentiful rude staff, left to wait for about 20 minutes. In the end we left.

Very nicely renovated, great location. Both inside and on the small terrace, very nice places, delicious cakes. The machine coffee is okay. A recommended address for both a short stop and a nice meal. Tip!

I love the Eckerts! Simple, modern, somewhat upscale and in the middle of the old town with a view of the old town hall ♡. The food is always very, very good. The selection of dishes is always varied, from Franconian snacks to warm roasts, homemade pasta and Co. with regional and seasonal vegetables.

Excellent view, good food

Very nice hotel and inn right on the water. You can see the water and Little Venice from the dining room. Fantastic backdrop. Breakfast very good, dinner very good but also a bit high prices but almost normal for a tourist town. Gasthaus is centrally located in the middle of Bamberg and its sights, which are easy to reach on foot.

Super tasty and fine! Everything freshly prepared and served very quickly :) And the view from the terrace - a dream! Perfect at all times of the day - breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Great setting! Sit out on the deck to enjoy the view of the river and old town all around you. Good food too.

This place was the best we have had in culinary history for a long time. Small fine menu with regional products. We were on Christmas Day 1. The waitresses very, very nice and coming beforehand. Whether the veal steak with root vegetables or the goose breast with chestnut puree or saddle of venison with celery. We will be back

Delicious food especially the appetiser ( of salmon). Try the local beer! The view from the window is also amazing :) ; nevertheless, I was disappointed with the tiny quantity of the dessert ( sweet and strong). It consisted into four minuscule pieces of “brownie” and the price of it was exaggerated for the little quantity. Overall, was good Back to the reply: it wasn’t a final accord because I ordered it and paid it separately! You trick in that!

Great food good service & a fair choice in biers

Food was lackluster and highly priced for a small continental breakfast, but you're paying for the beautiful panoramic view directly across from Bamberg's famous Alt Rathaus. Service was semi-friendly, which is considered "good" in Franconia.
